3rd Grade on Google Drive!

3rd graders are now on Google Drive!
They learned how to login to their accounts, create a document and share it with their teacher for editing.  They really got a kick out of seeing their teacher "jump on" their paper to edit simultaneously as they were working on it!
This is a great way for kids to collaborate with one another too!
They used the website below to create their character and then make up a story to go with it.
I was pretty impressed with how much they were able to type, since only starting keyboarding in August!  Way to go 3rd Grade!

created by the New York Zoos and Aquarium, lets students create a character called their “Wild Self”.  Students can choose a character and then add crazy hair, arms, legs, etc. to make them wild. There are even fun sound effects for the different backgrounds they add.  This tool can be used for a descriptive or creative writing lesson plan.  Students can create their "Wild Self" and describe their character in an adventure story.
