Mrs. Boese's 3rd Grade Skype, Fairytale Writing with Illinois

Mrs. Boese's 3rd Grade class is writing a collaborative fairytale with 4 schools around the country.  The story started in Lincolnshire, Illinois, traveled to us (through use of Google Drive), and will continue on to Woodbine, Iowa and finally end in Pine Valley Elementary in Wilmington, North Carolina.  Collaborating and writing digitally is a peak aspect of Common Core.  Skype and Google Drive have once again allowed us to go outside our own classroom walls to work with other kids around the world.  The Skype was engaging and exciting to the kids who now have friends several states away and have authored a story with.  Watch our video to see small parts of our Skype visit!
